Importing content into your Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Import tool lets you quickly populate your AI knowledge base instead of adding every topic manually. You can pull in content from a PDF, have Runnr.ai search your website, or reuse content that's already set up for another property you manage. You'll find it under Settings → Content → Knowledge Import.

How it works

Whichever source you choose, the process follows the same pattern:

  1. You add a source (a file, a website search, or another accommodation).
  2. Runnr.ai's AI reads that source and proposes knowledge base entries based on it.
  3. You review the proposed content.
  4. Once approved, the entries are added to your knowledge base automatically.

Nothing gets published to your live knowledge base without your review first — the AI only proposes content.

Import sources

1. File upload

Upload a PDF (guest guide, fact sheet, house manual, etc.) and the AI will extract relevant information and turn it into knowledge base entries.

2. Search the web

Runnr.ai searches the web using your property's name and location to find your website and other public information about the property, then proposes knowledge base entries based on what it finds.

3. Copy from accommodation

If you manage multiple accommodations in Runnr.ai, you can copy knowledge base content from one property into another.

  • Select the accommodation you want to copy from.
  • The AI proposes the copied content for your review before it's added.

4. Push to accommodation

The reverse of copying: instead of pulling content in, you push a topic from your knowledge base out to another accommodation you manage.

  • Pushing is done at the topic level — you can't push individual items within a topic separately.
  • The receiving accommodation doesn't get the content automatically. It lands as a proposal (in the Knowledge Import page) that a user on that accommodation still needs to review and approve before it's stored.

Reviewing proposed content

For every source type, the AI-proposed content sits in a review step before anything is saved:

  • Read through what's been proposed.
  • Approve to add it to your live knowledge base, or discard what you don't want.
  • After the import, you can still edit anything that isn't accurate for your property.

This review step is your chance to catch anything the AI misread or that doesn't apply to your specific property, so it's worth checking proposed entries rather than approving in bulk without a look — especially for web search results, which depend on what's publicly available online.
