How do automatic upsells work?

A guest requests something extra and Runnr.ai books it automatically in your PMS.

Some PMSs have the possibility for Runnr.ai to add extras to a booking.

Currently this is restricted to following three types:

  1. Breakfast
  2. Parking
  3. Late check-out.

You can set it up on the page Automated upsells:

Runnr.ai retrieves a list of "products" from the PMS. From this list, you will mark which items are considered "breakfast", "parking" or "late check-out". This way the AI knows that when this is already in the booking of a guest, there is no need to ask if the client wants it.

Now, if a guest doesn't have it in their booking, there is a possibility to upsell!

The setting at the top of the page ask you which product to upsell. If a guest wants an extra breakfast, which product should we add to their booking? This works the same for parking and late check-out.

In the future we might add extra products that are eligible to upsell, but for now we'll stick to Breakfast, Parking and Late check-out.

Whether we have upsell opportunities possible in Runnr.ai, depends on your PMS. Please check the PMS of your choice to see if we can upsell here.
